Penguin Random House Book Haul (Part 1)

I’ve been taking part in a summer writing program hosted by one of my teachers from high school for the past few weeks. The funny thing is, I never actually had him as a teacher when I was in high school. He was the sponsor for this movie making club I was in with a few other friends and we’ve always kept up with one another ever since.

He’s been telling me about this writing club for a couple years now, but this was the summer I finally had both free time and a car, so I decided to make good on my promise and come to a meeting. Then that one meeting turned into three.

I’ve honestly been enjoying the Summer Writing Club, but now I’ve had to cut my time there short because of my new job. Thankfully, the last meeting I went to was the best of them all.

The teacher, Mr. Harriott, invited a publisher from Penguin Random House to come and speak with us. I’ll be writing more about that on my second blog, so stay tuned for the official site launch this weekend.

She answered a lot of the questions we, mostly I, had about how to get published and what publishers are currently looking for. She also came bearing gifts. As the loyal blogger that I am, I made sure to get my fair share.

All the books were ARCs, and a couple of them have yet to be published. I’m going to have to take a break from these Library Book Hauls so I can get through all these books. Without further ado, here’s my Penguin Random House haul:

I didn’t want to make this post too long from the backstory, so tomorrow I’ll have a more in-depth haul with mini summaries of each book.

Have you read any of the books in this stack?

Are you a fan of Penguin Random House?

What should I read first?

Let me know in the comments, let’s chat!
