This Haitian sister duo has restored my faith in Haitian authors everywhere. As if I could ever lose hope with Edwidge Danticat’s writing still out there.

Beware the Kitten Holy ~ Lumberjanes Vol. 1 (Book Review)

So, I had no idea that Amazon Prime had books that you could get for free with it (thank you Goodreads).

Lumberjanes is one of those graphic novel series that just about everyone has talked about at one point or another and with good reason. Now I understand just why it’s so popular!

3 Reasons to go Watch Harriet (Movie Review)

Hey y’all, it’s been over a month since my last post but this has been in my drafts for a while now. I guess there’s no time like the present to post it.

I went to see Harriet last month with my mom. She’s not one for action movies, but she is a sucker for a black female lead. We both ended up loving the movie and I wish there was more buzz about it. Here are three reasons I enjoyed Harriet!
