Camila the Record Breaking Star (Book Review)

Hey y’all! I’m back with another review. Children’s books will forever and always hold a special place in my heart and I’m so thankful for the representation that this next generation is seeing in their books.

I received a digital ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

With the Fire on High (Book Review)

The minute I started this book, I knew I’d made a mistake.

If you’ve been following this blog over the course of 2019, you know how much I love gushing about The Poet X. It was my first read of the new year and I’m thankful for that. It only made since to continue on with another one of Elizabeth Acevedo’s masterpieces.

This copy of With the Fire on High was purchased at my local bookstore, The Book Cellar, and that’s also where I took these two pictures. It’s a really cute book shop and I’m thinking about going back and taking more pictures. Comment below if you’d be interested in a post on that.

It’s just as great, if not better, than I remembered. While recapping on Season One, I noticed a lot more references from the first season in Season Two. Here are a few.

Sidenote: There will be spoilers so read at your own risk.

What’s next for On My Block?

Today’s post is going to be some of my thoughts on Season Two and what I think will happen in season three. This post is going to be full of spoilers, so be warned.

I recently made the mistake of finishing the second season of On My Block. Now I have to wait another year for the show to come back. We don’t have a confirmed Season Three yet, but with the popularity that On My Block has, it’s almost guaranteed. I made the same mistake with the first season. It’s just one of those shows that really draws you in.
