5 Book to Movie Adaptations I Want to See

With the recent news of Elizabeth Acevedo’s With the Fire on High making it’s way to the big screen, it got me thinking of other books that would make great movies.

So, without further ado, here’s my list.

Penguin Random House Book Haul (Part 1)

I’ve been taking part in a summer writing program hosted by one of my teachers from high school for the past few weeks. The funny thing is, I never actually had him as a teacher when I was in high school. He was the sponsor for this movie making club I was in with a few other friends and we’ve always kept up with one another ever since.

He’s been telling me about this writing club for a couple years now, but this was the summer I finally had both free time and a car, so I decided to make good on my promise and come to a meeting. Then that one meeting turned into three.

I’ve honestly been enjoying the Summer Writing Club, but now I’ve had to cut my time there short because of my new job. Thankfully, the last meeting I went to was the best of them all.

The Reading Rush 2019 TBR

BookTube-Athon is now The Reading Rush and I honestly like the change. I totally forgot it was this week until I saw all the TBRs popping up on my feed. I decided to join the bandwagon and post my own TBR.

Check out this cool video for a breakdown of The Reading Rush.

There’s also a website this year where you can sign up, track your pages read, and earn cool badges. Add me on the website if you’re doing the challenge, too. I love seeing everyone’s progress and I’m sure we could motivate each other to keep going.

I just started using the cloudLibrary app and there are a ton of great (and free!) audiobooks there. Some of the books there were also published recently, so I’m definitely excited to finally get to reading these. All you need for the app is a library card.

With that out of the way, check out this TBR.

The Upside of Unrequited

This is book two of my June Library Book Haul. Maybe I should just start calling them that from now on. My first trip to the library brought me Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda and I decided to pick up another book by Becky Albertalli.

Make sure to check out last week’s review of Piecing Me Together by Renee Watson.

Trips to the Library (Take Two)

Last month’s trip to the library was so relaxing, I love looking through all those shelves of books. It’s also less stress on my wallet and the library is literally down the road from my house. So, I decided to get a new stack of four for this month. Here’s to happy reading!
