It finally happened y’all! I got to go see an advanced screening of Just Mercy starring (my future husband) Michael B. Jordan. Must I say, this movie is a must-see! It was so good!

Natasha and Daniel meet throughout the day, despite all odds. In just 24 hours, the two learn about life, love, and the pursuit of something greater than themselves.
I read the book over a year ago and as soon as I heard there was a film to come, I got super excited. I was expecting to love it just as much as Everything, Everything. Now, I’m starting to wonder if time has clouded my vision. Memories aren’t nearly as accurate as we’d like to think.
The books I chose for this prompt were both recommended to me by some of my favorite teachers. The first one comes from my middle school English teacher, Mrs. Macon. She introduced me to so much literature during that time period.

I recently watched the film adaptation of Room on Netflix and all I can say is that I was bawling for a chunk of it. It’s about a woman who was kidnapped and had a child, who she names Jack, for her captor. Her son is five years old and she plans to have him escape the room, with or without her.
