16 Diverse YA and Middle Grade Releases for January 2021

Happy New Year y’all! Today I just want to share a few books by BIPOC authors that are coming out this month. It makes me so happy to see kids these days getting more stories where they can see themselves as the hero and you already know these are going on my TBR (if they aren’t already).

Camila the Record Breaking Star (Book Review)

Hey y’all! I’m back with another review. Children’s books will forever and always hold a special place in my heart and I’m so thankful for the representation that this next generation is seeing in their books.

I received a digital ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

The Last Last Day of Summer (Book Review)

Hey y’all! I was actually sent a review copy of The Last Mirror on the Left but after hearing the synopsis for the first book in the series, I decided to buy a copy of The Last Last Day of Summer from Cultured Books (a Black woman owned bookstore). All thoughts are my own, as goes with every one of my reviews.

I’m sure you’ve all been on the edge of your seats waiting for my full thoughts on this series ever since my interview with Lamar Giles. Oh, wait, you weren’t? Well, stick around anyway to see if this might be the story you’re looking to add as an upcoming stocking stuffer.

The Kiss Quotient (Book Review)

Hey y’all! This review is long overdue. I read The Kiss Quotient last month because I was in a romance mood and I’d heard good things about it. I decided to listen to the audiobook through the CloudLibrary app since I’ve been struggling with finishing physical books. After reading it, I totally understand the hype.

We Are Okay (Book Review)

Hey y’all! So I ended up reading this because Kat @ Life and Other Disasters really loves Nina LaCour and she suggested I read this one. It was definitely outside my comfort zone but an interesting read for sure. Today’s review will be pretty short.
