Let’s Catch Up (#32)

Hey y’all! This week has been quite the week. I finally got through my classes and for that, I am so thankful. But we’ll get into that. So, go grab a holiday themed drink, cozy blanket, and take a seat so we can catch up!

Life Update

Finals week was definitely stressful. I’m really thankful that this semester is over since it’s been one of the hardest semesters of my college career. Now I’m just waiting for the grades to roll in so pray for me y’all.

My younger cousins are obsessed with Minecraft and they taught me a few more things about the game yesterday. I’m starting to understand why it’s so popular with kids. It’s perfect for letting their imaginations run wild as they literally build worlds of their own. One of the girls is super interested in coding now because of it and her parents fully support that. I’m excited to see whether this will be a long term interest for her since she really loves video games.

I’ve started editing my middle grade work in progress again. I really want to get through edits this month so I can finish it and send it off into the world (or the hands of friends). I had no idea editing was going to be this time consuming but every time I read over it I feel like there’s so much more I need to add.

Blogging Update

No blog posts this week, it’s been rough and typing on a laptop has not been a part of my relaxation routine during finals. Thankfully I’ve still had Instagram as an outlet for all my bookish thoughts. I’ve also made the graphics for The Haitian Readathon Instagram page and I’m really looking forward to it happening at the start of the new year.

And that’s basically all for this week because I’m kind of exhausted. Hopefully I’ll have more to post next week and thank you for sticking around today. This community has truly made my year so much better.

How was your week? Do you have any holiday traditions? Are you a student? Let me know in the comments below, let’s chat!

  1. I wish I was obesessed with Minecraft!!! Some of my friends seem to absolutely love it, while my boomer brain can’t get the hang of it all:( I’m a middle schooler/ high schooler(what was 8th grade again?), and I can’t even think about the stress college-goes have.. I hope there’s less stress for you in the future!

      1. It always helps if you like what you’re learning about tbh- I hate history, so naturally I get less grades on that xD I’ve wanted to play, and with all the coercing my friends have been doing, I’ll prolly play it sooner or later lol
