Let’s Catch Up (#30)

Hey y’all! It’s now been a week since my 21st birthday and I honestly feel like a real adult so let’s get something bubbly today for our catch-up session. Oh, and don’t forget a cozy blanket. Take a seat, let’s chat!

Life Update

My birthday went super well. Even though I couldn’t have an actual party/people filled celebration, my family still made it a really special day for me. It was really great.

I have my finals due this week and next so this semester can finally come to an end. Even though I complain about school pretty often, I’m actually looking forward to the Spring. The classes I’ve picked out sound absolutely riveting.

Blogging Update

I posted twice here this week and a few times on my Bookstagram. One of my reels has been getting a lot of attention. I honestly don’t know why the algorithm loves this one specifically so much, but it does. It’s definitely the most attention my page has ever gotten, so that’s super exciting.

I’ve also posted some new photos, of course. I’m actually working on a theme for next year that I’m really excited for. I’ll start posting those photos in January but I’ve already started editing them. Here’s my current, themeless bookstagram:

What Did I Miss?

This week I posted two different wrap-ups. One was for a reading challenge while the other was a regular one for November. I’m honestly really happy with how much I read this month, especially considering how much school kept me occupied. Be sure to check out anything you may have missed.

A Nonfiction November Wrap-Up ~ Rae's Reads and Reviews

Nonfiction November was really fun to participate in. I ended up reading five works of nonfiction and I’m glad I did since I haven’t read much nonfiction this year.

Look at me posting a monthly wrap-up right after the month ended. Wow, that’s some real growth, huh.

YouTube Videos that Brought me Joy This Week

I watched this yesterday and all I have to say is Kennie JD does not disappoint.

It was nice watching a vlog that wasn’t super flashy or “inspirational.” Amanda’s videos are just so relaxing and this was a real look at a day in her life as a college student in New York.

Chanelle is hilarious and I’m super behind on her videos so I got around to watching this one and it was so fun.

Amanda the Jedi is in this which made it even better than a regular Odd Man Out. Also, Marvel.

This was so accurate, I had no choice but to laugh.

How was your week?

What brought you joy?

Do you have any plans for December?

Let me know in the comments below, let’s chat!

  2. Oh wow! Happy Belated Birthday!! 😀 That’s really wonderful that your family made it a special day for you. 😀
I spent November in a huge blogging slump so now I’m trying to get back in the groove. So far, so good this week.
