Hey y’all! Reading has definitely gotten a lot more complicated with school, but I’ve been hanging in there. I even got through some shorter books last week.

What are you currently reading?

Early Departures by Justin A. Reynolds

Yes, I’m still reading it. Yes, it’s still making me cry. If you want to hear my thoughts while reading, I usually post them on my bookstagram story.

The Field Guide to the North American Teenager by Ben Philippe

I know I’ve been gushing about how much I can’t wait for Charming as a Verb but I actually hadn’t read Ben Philippe’s first book yet (even though it’s been in my TBR forever). I was actually planning to read it during Winter Break but… I decided to pick it up while I wait for Charming as a Verb to come in.

Loretta Little Looks Back by Andrea Davis Pinkney

Okay, I’m super late on getting to this but the book tour for it is next week so I need to really finish it. Thankfully the iPad is making reading ebooks a million times easier.

Long Way Down: The Graphic Novel by Jason Reynolds

I read this for the tour that Hear Our Voices is hosting. I’m really looking forward to that.

Student Ambassador: The Missing Dragon by Ryan Estrada and Axur Eneas

So, I actually already have my book review up because this book came out yesterday! It’s such a great Middle Grade graphic novel. The humor is wonderful and it’s great for action lovers.

Okay, so all the new releases are coming out this week and next. Even though I’m going through a lot of books right now, I can’t wait for my preorders to come in. One I’m super, super excited for is:

Grown by Tiffany D. Jackson

Once my preorder comes in, I’ll officially own every one of Tiffany D. Jackson’s books. I have her first two in paperback and I’ll have her most recent two in hardcover so they’ll be on different shelves but, oh well. I’m just happy to have her words.
