Two for Tuesday: April Flowers

Two for Tuesday is a weekly tag I host here on my blog. If you’re interested in joining, just let me know and I’ll add you to the list of participants. This week’s prompt is two books that have flowery language.

My first pick literally has a flower on the cover. You can’t get more flowery than that.

the sun and her flowers by Rupi Kaur

I got the sun and her flowers as a birthday gift a few years ago. I immediately devoured it. Poetry just has a way of connecting to my pain in ways I didn’t know possible. I haven’t gotten around to reading her first book, Milk and Honey. Hopefully, I’ll finally get to it this summer.

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

The Sun is Also a Star is a beautiful story. The language is very flowery at times, but completely understandable. It’s one of those books that has resonated with me ever since I finished it.

I’m surprised both of my picks for this month have sun in the title. But then again, you can’t have flowers with sunshine.

What are some of your favorite flowery books?
