Sorry I’m posting this so late y’all. This past week has been absolutely hectic for me. I had two exams on Thursday and I didn’t even get to see the episode till Saturday. I’m so off my game.
Make sure to check out my recaps for the Premiere, Episode 3, Episode 4, Episode 5, Episode 6 and Episode 7 while you’re here. Without further ado, let’s get started.

Recap
The episode starts with Zoey’s speal on how she’s switching from design to styling. Zoey’s exaggerating and we see that clip from two weeks ago with Michelle Obama’s note. The Zoey Johnson Styling Experience isn’t getting off to such a great start quite yet. She got banned from Yelp for posting too many fake reviews.
The twins decide to take Zoey up on her new business venture. They’re looking to re-brand and hopefully get some endorsements on the gram. Zoey doesn’t seem to get what they’re going for at first and she ends up styling them like old white women.
While Zoey’s failing with the twins, Nomi’s making ceviche. Luca comes out to talk about how shrimp have feelings and Nomi calls him out for being a non- rent paying roommate. Apparently Luca’s still vegan.
Aaron and Ana are in the elevator, texting from two feet away. Once everybody leaves it looks like they’ll make their move, but then Vivek shoves his arm in to keep the doors from closing. He was being a total cock block.
Zoey tries a last ditch effort to hold on to the twins as customers. She succumbs to their demands and adds a little more sexiness to their styling. That boosts their ratings way more than they were expecting, they even get their first sponsorship offer from Copper Calves compression socks.

Doug takes the Instagram thirst trap to heart. He tells Aaron and Vivek how much he can’t stand that Jazz is doing this. They try to tell him it’s not that serious and Aaron basically makes fun of the whole situation. Doug leaves to talk to Jazz. She tries convincing him that it’s only pictures and he tries to be cool with it.
Everyone decides to go out to some bar to hang out and I guess Ana and Aaron are hooking up so… That’s still a thing. We’ll see how long this foolishness lasts.
Nomi makes fun of Luca’s veganism. She tells him about how great the wings are and he tells her about how she’s eating orphaned baby chickens. It was a weird conversation.
Doug is giving Zoey the cold shoulder from the minute he gets there. He’s still not really okay with Jazz’s “new image.” Some dude asks to take a picture with Jazz and Sky and they agree so he’ll go away. He starts touching Jazz’s butt and Doug flips out. He punches the dude in the face.
Cops are called and the night doesn’t end as well as they were hoping.

Zoey tells Luca about how she’s feeling toward the styling situation. Luca does his whole “be yourself” or whatever speech that always works on her. Luca always seems to have something to say to make Zoey think about her decisions. I don’t understand how he always has to be her saving grace. It honestly gets on my nerves sometimes. Zoey needs to figure stuff out for herself at least once.
Sky comes clean to Jazz about how she feels about the re-brand. Sky decides not to come when Zoey texts them because she’s not feeling it. Jazz goes to see Zoey on her own and they have a heart to heart. Jazz opens up about how she feels like this is the first time she’s really taking control of her body. Zoey agrees about the importance of it, but feels like they went about it the wrong way. They decide to take another last shot at this re-branding.
Just a side note, but I guess Zoey and Jazz are all buddy buddy again. I personally want some more context about that, but that’s just me.
So Ana and Aaron fell asleep the night before. Luckily for them, the girls aren’t in the apartment. Not so lucky, Luca’s there… eating wings. Guess he’s not a real vegan. They seem to come to a common agreement not to tell anyone.
Luca gets caught by Nomi in the last seen anyway. He had dried buffalo sauce in his dread, like how careless it that.
Discussion
I respect this episode’s topic. I think it was an interesting take and I’m happy it sparked another important discussion. I still don’t really care for Luca and I just can’t get fully on board with that relationship. I low key feel like Nomi would have been better for him, but I don’t care for his character all together.
I can’t wait for Ana and Aaron to get caught and have to explain this to their friends. Jazz and Doug were relationship goals at the beginning of the season, but now I feel like they’ve got a lot of issues that they’re dealing with.
1.) Again, I don’t. I think it’s kind of weird in some ways. They don’t really match I guess.
2.) I think that it’s sad that some people have to do things they don’t want to do in order to make money. So I’m proud of Sky for sitting this one out.
3.) I really like them together. They’re a cute couple. I understand that women have their own opinions and rights just like anyone else, but when you’re in a committed relationship, you should talk and respect your partner’s opinion if you plan on being with this person. As he said, Kanye knew what he was getting into. Doug didn’t sign up for that.
4.) Please!!! Sky needs to let Jazz go in some areas. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had an episode where she said she didn’t really like track. She needs more lines and more screen time. Give her a story already!!!

The Ana and Aaron is so weird, I just don’t get it. Doug really didn’t sign up for all of that and I don’t blame him for reacting the way he did. I’m happy that Sky stood up to Jazz. I need Vivek and Sky to get their own episodes! I’m tired of them just getting some funny one-liners, I want to see more of their personalities outside of the group.
