These past two weeks, I’ve been alternating between two books in between studying for exams. Finals coming up soon and I’m honestly so ready to be done with these classes.
Last Monday, I started reading my hardcover copy of American Street by Ibi Zoboi. I mentioned it here oh so long ago.

I really like it so far. I’m Haitian and it’s great to see Haitian authors coming into the mainstream. After reading Roxanne Gay’s Hunger, this book is definitely easier to get through.
When I’m not reading this, I’m listening to the audiobook of Black Klansman by Ron Stallworth. I had wanted to see the movie when it came out, but I didn’t get the chance. Listening to Black Klansman makes me want to rent the movie at some point.
My review should be up shortly for this one.
I plan on listening to the book To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han next. I tried reading it last year, but I couldn’t get past the first chapter. Hopefully, I can get through it this time. I want to watch the movie right after.
